Neil E. Boyd is crowned the Front-Runner After “America’s Got Talent” after week 1

The season premiere of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” aired Tuesday with a few major surprises. “Americas Got Talent” host Jerry Springer told hopefuls that they will hold the audition process in front of a live theater, as opposed to a small room with just the judges like years before.

Several of the hopefuls had stage fright, but others worked through. Neil E. Boyd, a 32-year old insurance salesman, was one of the latter, receiving a standing ovation for his audition. Judge David Hasselhoff called Boyd the front-runner for the whole competition, while judge Piers Morgan said he could feel the crowd reacting to the energy that Boyd produced on stage. “America’s Got Talent” airs on Tuesday nights at 9pm EST on NBC.

The audition brought thousands of Americans who will fight to win a chance to receive $1 million and a Las Vegas show
