Monday, March 19th, 2007

Simon Cowell and NBC are back to the search for some real “Talent,” and the network announced today it will add Dallas, Texas to the audition sites for the new season of “America’s Got Talent.”

In addition, new host Jerry Springer will make a special appearance at the Dallas open call on March 31 at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre.

“It’s great that Jerry will be in Dallas for the auditions,” said Cowell. “For ‘America’s Got Talent’ every act and any age are welcome.”

Bringing the variety format back to the forefront of American culture, “America’s Got Talent,” last summer’s top-rated new series which will return to NBC this summer, showcases the hottest performers from across the country, with the winner being chosen by the television viewing audience.

Each week, the show features a colorful array of hopeful future stars — singers, dancers, comedic performers and unique acts of all ages who have a chance to strut and perform in front of a panel of celebrity judges.
